Most small business owners only think about their books when something is due. That's how you end up making decisions on numbers that are ten months old.
I'm Scott Coombe, a CPA. I handle bookkeeping, payroll, and taxes for small businesses so the financial side of your company stays current and organized — and so nothing in April comes as a surprise.
Monthly plans start at $750.
Schedule a conversationYou'll know what you're paying before the month starts, and it won't change because a question took longer than expected.
Everything is built around your books being current. Once they are, tax planning becomes possible and tax filing stops being a project — because the work was already done through the year instead of reconstructed in March.
Pick the level that fits. Moving up later is easy.

Your books, kept current and tax-ready.
A good fit if you're handling the books yourself, falling behind, or finding out how the year went sometime in March.
$1,250

Everything in Essentials, plus payroll and your tax return.
A good fit if you have employees, or if you'd rather one person handle the books and the return instead of coordinating between two.

per month, starting at
Everything in Complete, plus someone thinking about the numbers with you.
A good fit if you're past the point where a monthly P&L answers your questions, weighing a significant decision, or growing faster than your financial visibility.

What counts as a transaction? Any deposit, payment, or transfer recorded in your bank or accounting software — the dollar amount doesn't matter. Most small businesses are surprised by how few they actually have.
Accounts means anything that gets reconciled each month: checking, savings, credit cards, loans, merchant accounts.
Need more room? Additional accounts are $25/month each, and additional transactions run $40 per block of 100. Final pricing gets settled in the first conversation — no surprises later.
Maybe you fell behind during a busy stretch and never caught up. Maybe the last bookkeeper left things half-done. Maybe it's been a couple of years and you've been dreading the conversation.
I've seen worse, and I'm not going to make you feel bad about it.
Cleanup is its own project. The work goes back through the period: records rebuilt and categorized, every account reconciled, and accurate financial statements produced for the time you've been missing. I review all of it before it reaches you. If prior returns were filed on bad numbers, we'll talk about what that means.
Why it's priced separately from monthly work: catching up is a repair job, not late routine bookkeeping. It takes considerably more work per month than keeping current books current — which is exactly why it's worth doing once, properly.
How pricing works: cleanup is quoted per month of backlog, after I've looked at what's actually there. Most engagements fall between $350 and $850 per month behind, depending on the state of the records and how many accounts are involved. Minimum engagement $1,500.
I won't quote a cleanup without reviewing the books first. Anyone who does is guessing.
Then what? Once your books are current and correct, a monthly plan keeps them that way. That's the point of doing it — not to fix one year, but to stop the problem from coming back.
Individual tax returns. Prepared for the owners of businesses I work with, and for individual clients with more involved situations.
My office is in Gilbert, and I'm glad to meet in person if you're nearby.
Most of this work doesn't require it. Bookkeeping, payroll, and planning happen through secure document sharing and video calls, the same way they'd happen across a desk.
If you'd rather meet face to face, we can. If you'd rather never leave your office, that works too.
That's normal, and it's a short conversation. Tell me what's going on in your business and I'll tell you honestly which package fits — including if the answer is the smallest one.
